Sno-Way® 29VHD Wins Against SnowEx
Compared side-by-side, our Sno-Way® 29VHD Series 2 snow plow outperforms the SnowEx 8.6HDV snow plow. No matter if it is in performance, accessories, or lime time cost, the Sno-Way® 29VHD is the better plow for the money!
We understand that our customers are looking for the best snow plow for the money. That’s why we are committed to producing the best plows in the industry. We have engineered all of our plows to provide the best clearing power with the least amount of wear on your vehicle. We have also added standard features like our triple-coat blade protection and thermosensitive heated lights. But don’t just take our word for it, check out how we stack up to our competition.
Let’s Talk Basics
The SnowEx 8.6HDV plow is an expandable plow with a 31″ height using 16-gauge steel and a half-inch cutting edge. The blade is 102″ wide, 89″ when angled. This plow weighs in at a hefty 972-lbs before the options. It features a full trip blade and their Automatixx mounting system. Their electrical system includes LED or halogen lights and a wired controller. It comes standard with flared moldboards, trip-edge protection, and an adjustable center cutting edge.
The Sno-Way® 29VHD S2 snow plow is also a flared v-plow snow plow with a 29″ blade height using 12-gauge steel. The blade has an expanded blade width of 102″ of proprietary steel, but is able to angle to as small as 78″. All Sno-Way® plows come with the hydraulic-assisted Drive-In Mount system. Additionally, the Flared 29VHD S2 comes standard with our patented ESS® Smart System lighting. The Sno-Way® 29VHD 8′-6″ v-plow also comes standard with flared moldboards, a full-blade trip feature, and our exclusive MaxADJUST™ leveling system.
Sno-Way® 29VHD verses SnowEx 8.6HDV
There are many features that set the Sno-Way® 29VHD Series 2 (8′-6″ version) snow plow apart from the SnowEx 8.6HDV snowplow. The first thing is the flexible span of this blade between fully extended and angled. The SnowEx 8.6HDV can only angle to a 90″, whereas the 29VHD is able to angle down to a slim 78″. Think of the flexibility that gives when navigating tough corners and tight spaces.
Then there is the 250-lb additional down-pressure that the Sno-Way® flared v-plow boasts as a standard feature. This gives it the ability to move more snow with less wear on your vehicle! The SnowEx 8.6HDV is limited in its flexibility and has no capability to apply any pressure to provide a cleaner scrape.
Sno-Way’s® Down Pressure® snow plow hydraulics allows you to scrape or backdrag more snow in less time resulting in 30% more efficiency. The increased pressure improves traction, reducing tire spin and the risk of accidents. It creates less force on the front axle reducing the chance of breakage and the need for rebuilding the suspension. As a result, you will save money on fuel and vehicle repairs over the long run!
Stronger, Smarter, Better Through Innovation
We paired that flexibility and power with good, old-fashioned common sense. Our exclusive Ground Hugger™ blade design transfers pressure from the snow loads to the blade – effectively forcing the blade downward. The aggressive, 65-degree cutting-edge blade geometry creates optimal roll for maximum force on the ground and evenly distributes snow loads across the moldboard. We basically make the snow work for you, delivering a cleaner scrape all day long. Additionally, our patented double-hinge mechanism ensures that no snow gets left behind no matter what configuration you use.
As Always, Sno-Way® Comes With Perks
As with all Sno-Way® snowplows, the Flared 29VHD Series 2 comes with a wired controller standard or the optional wireless controller. Sno-Way’s® patented wireless ProControl™ 2 Plus can be mounted virtually anywhere in the cab and is simple to operate with either hand. The controllers are fully customizable using macro settings to program your own unique plow configurations. Both types of controllers are also backlit to make them easy to use no matter what time of day!
Also standard with all of our snow plows, we triple-coat our Sno-Way® 29VHD S2 to prevent corrosion and other damage. Starting with a zinc phosphate wash, we prepare our plows for the E-coat primer that actually bonds with the metal in the same way that automotive primers do. We finish it up with a military-grade powder coat that is applied and cured to the plow. This triple-coat protection gives your Sno-Way® snowplow the durability you need and the quality you expect from a company that prides itself on innovation!
