Sno-Way 6 and 9 tailgate spreaders each have a large, form-fitting polyethylene lid to keep moisture out of the hopper and away from the spread material. The lid is easily secured using two rubber T-handle latches and - as a safety feature - a standard nylon retainer strap keeps the lid attached to the hopper at all times.
