Sno-Way® Revolution™ HD S2 Surpasses Western Wide-Out

In a straight comparison, our Sno-Way® Revolution™ HD Series 2 snow plow surpasses the Western Wide-Out snow plow in performance and build.

The Revolution™ HD S2 dominates the Western Wide-Out whether in its capacity to push snow, its capacity to provide value, or its capacity to withstand the normal wear-and-tear of the worksite. But don’t take our word for it, let’s compare them side by side to see the difference!

The Basics for the Western Wide-Out and Sno-Way® HD S2

western wide-out snow plowThe Western Wide-Out plow series plow is an adjustable wing plow with a 31″ height using a 14-gauge steel moldboard and a half-inch cutting edge.  The blade is 96″ wide, expandable to 120″.  This plow weighs in at a whopping 1020 lbs before the mount or options.  It features a full trip blade and their UltraMount 2 mounting system.  Their electrical system includes LED or halogen lights and a wired controller.

Both plows feature independently-controlled adjustable wings that provide a more effective ability to scoop and control snow.

Outstanding In Its Field!

There are many features that set the Revolution™ HD Series 2 snow plow apart from the Western Wide-Out snow plow.  The first thing is our patented Down Pressure® Hydraulic System, which delivers 250 lbs of additional down-force and comes standard with our plow.  This gives it the ability to move more snow with less wear on your vehicle!  The Western Wide-Out snow plow has no capability to apply any pressure to provide a cleaner scrape.  This system combined with our patented double-hinge mechanism ensures that no snow gets left behind no matter what configuration you use.

Our standard-feature Down Pressure® system is also handy when back-dragging, giving you more control and leaving less snow behind. The performance of Western’s optional back drag edge pales in comparison.

Even with the additional snow moving capacity, the Revolution™ HD Series 2 plow comes in 155 lbs lighter than the Wide-Out.  This is due to our plow design that incorporates proprietary steel and careful structural planning.  The end result is a tough plow that gives you maximum load force absorption with a lighter overall weight.  That includes our hydraulic equipment and the patented double-hinge mechanism. The lighter overall weight means better gas mileage and less wear-and-tear on your vehicle!

As Always, Sno-Way® Comes With Perks

Wireless Pro-Control 2 Plus
Wireless Pro-Control 2 Plus

As with all Sno-Way® snow plows, the Revolution™ HD Series 2 comes with a wired controller standard or the optional wireless controller.  (Sorry Western fans, but there is no wireless controller option for their plows.)  Sno-Way®’s patented wireless ProControl™ 2 Plus can be mounted virtually anywhere in the cab and is simple to operate with either hand.  The controllers are fully customizable using macro settings to program your own unique plow configurations.  Both types of controllers are also backlit to make them easy to use no matter what time of day!

Triple-Coat Protection Icon
Triple-Coat Protection

Also standard with all of our snow plows, we triple coat our Sno-Way® Revolution™ HD S2 to prevent corrosion and other damage. Starting with a zinc phosphate wash, we prepare our plows for the E-coat primer that actually bonds with the metal in the same way that automotive primers do. We finish it up with a military-grade powder coat that is applied and cured to the plow. This triple-coat protection gives your Sno-Way® snow plow the durability you need and expect from Sno-Way®!
