- Ribs - laser cut from steel; two ½" plate ribs, five ¼" ribs and two torsional stiffeners (four stiffeners on 10 foot blades) robot welded to 0.25" X 1.5" X 4.5" X 1.5" high strength, low alloy, die formed bottom rail.
- Cutting edge - ½" X 6" C1080 (high carbon) steel mounted with grade 5 carriage bolts.
- Disc shoes - two fully rotational, vertically adjustable, abrasion resistant cast iron shoes; 1" thick cast-in steel shaft secured through shoe bracket with lynch pins; shoe bracket is high strength, low alloy steel robot welded to bottom rail.
- Trip springs - four oil tempered, full load, spring steel trip springs, 2-5/16" O.D. (coil) X 0.438 diameter (wire); upper position hooked into tab on blade frame rail; lower position fastened to tab on swing frame with four 5/8" X 6" eyebolts.
- Blade trip pivot - two ¾" diameter grade 5 clevis pins secured by cotters through ½" steel ribs.
- Tripping action - blade is full trip; extension positively stopped at 50 degrees; recoil dampened by compression of two polyurethane stop blocks situated at blade trip pivot point.
- Blade guides - two braided cable-core markers coated in high visibility red vinyl.
- Plow angle - hydraulically powered angle function positively stopped both right and left at 30 degrees past center.
Swing Frame

- Construction - rolled structural 2" X 4" X 3/16" tube; robot welded to high strength low alloy 3/8" plate stops and 3/16" gusset.
- Angle cylinders - attached to swing frame with ¾" diameter grade 5 pins fastened through 3/8" high strength low alloy plate.
- Swing frame/A-frame angle pivot - 1" diameter grade 8 bolt; sleeved full length as reinforcement against tear-out and compression of structural components.
A-frame

- Main frame construction - perimeter is ¼" high strength low alloy plate; laser cut, die formed and robot welded to create structural channel.
- Pump platform - die formed plate with robot welded channel to accommodate pump assembly; platform protects hydraulic unit and provides attachment to upper surface of A-frame; platform bolts to A-frame.
- Lift mechanism - laser cut, robot welded high strength low alloy steel bell crank and lift bar; linkage is direct, supplying positive mechanical leverage both when raising and when lowering plow.
- Plow jackstand - two fixed positions: Rotated up for plowing/rotated down for storage; stand supplies leverage for lift cylinder extension and retraction allowing powered up-and-down A-frame movement during attachment to vehicle.
- Attachment mechanism - ½" locater pins rotate into receiver saddles to provide positive positioning for hitch pins; ¾" heat treated hitch pins loaded with compression springs for positive locking; hitch pins fitted with cam handles to provide leverage for spring compression during pin removal.
- Stacking angle - 34 degrees.
Vehicle Mounts (Subframes)

- Material - high strength low alloy tube and hitch pin receivers.
- Design - frame rail brackets and plates custom fitted per vehicle year and model; plow-side crossmembers dimensionally specific to plow models.
- Hardware - supplied with each subframe; suitable and sufficient for complete installation.
- Standards - meets criteria established and detailed in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Product Finish

- Preparation - all plow components cleaned in eight stage wash system; rinsed with phosphate; final rinsed in RO (reverse osmosis) water.
- Primer - all metal components base coated in military grade, intrusion resistant under coating.
- Top coat - two-part epoxy powder.
- Process - powder is electro charged and fluidized with moving air; plow components are reverse charged; powder is gunned onto parts; coating is oven-activated/bonds with, and cures on, components.

Sno-Way® Down Pressure™ Hydraulic System (Optional)

- Utilizes double acting lift cylinder, direct lift linkage and additional hydraulic circuit to apply positive pressure down on plow blade.
- Down Pressure™ hydraulic circuit is closed, internally regulated to 525 psi. with 600 psi.
relief to tank.
- Down Pressure™ hydraulic system is integral to the pump unit and cannot be retrofitted
to gravity units.
Electrical

- Power circuit:
- 4 Gauge power and ground wires direct to vehicle battery.
- Under hood protection: 150 amp slow blow circuit breaker and 250 amp fuse.
- Power solenoid located plow side (under pump cover).
- Control circuit:
- Pump side microprocessor, powered off upstream (hot) side of power solenoid, protected by 10 amp in-line fuse.
- Pump-to-cab cable (3-wire, 22 gauge) routed through 3/8" hole in firewall.
